WHO WE ARE
StreetWaves Corporation is a 501(c)(3) grassroots tax exempt non-profit organization founded in 2008 whose team of volunteers provide outreach, mentorship, guidance, education and activities in the ocean to fulfill our mission of creating enriching opportunities for under-resourced youth. We MENTOR and EMPOWER youth from under-resourced communities through educational programming that teach swimming, surfing, standup paddleboarding, boating, ocean safety and environmental education and awareness.
WHAT WE DO
StreetWaves transforms the lives of under-served youth through swimming, surfing, boating and ocean safety education. We provide a safe haven for children during after-school hours by enabling them to get off the streets and into the waves.
HOW WE DO IT
Our team mentors students through swimming, surfing, environmental education, ocean safety and awareness and maritime career exposure. Our programs connect peers and mentors in an empowering experience where they learn, grow and feel camaraderie, love and respect.
